CURRICULUM VITAE
Roy Amiss is a painter, inventor, designer, writer, musician and songwriter.

Inspired by surrealism, philosophy, science, logic, and pop culture.

Studied biological sciences and fine art painting at Gloucestershire University
obtaining a 2:1 BA(hon) degree.

Exhibited works abroad in France, America and extensively in
Holland at Rotterdam, Hague and Amsterdam Art Fairs. Was Resident
artist at the Schroder Art Foundation in the Netherlands for a number of years.

In the UK his work has been auctioned and
sold by both Christie’s and Bonham’s auction houses.

His recent exhibitions include Optical Portraiture – Painting the 3rd Dimension
where he showed his unique hand-painted holographs on,
nylon net at the Jonathan Ross Gallery 286
in Earl’s Court.

In 2005, he built 7 windmills at Museum of Domestic Design & Architecture,
curated by Jolanta Jagiello.

Born in London (1958) he currently works in his studio
at his home in Rise Park, Havering in North East
London, UK.
